Boise, Idaho – September 5, 2023 –After seven years of public service and support for survivors, Carolyn Holly, Faces of Hope’s president, is retiring.
Holly passionately supported efforts to provide safety and empowerment to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, elder abuse, child abuse, human trafficking, and stalking. Holly joined the Faces of Hope board in 2016 and was elected president of the board in 2018. Holly dedicated her efforts to building awareness about Faces of Hope and the organization’s efforts to ensure every victim finds help, hope, and healing.
Holly, a long-time media personality in Boise, used her passion to grow support for survivor services. During her tenure as president, Faces of Hope significantly increased the number of survivors who came through our doors for support. In 2024, Faces of Hope is opening a second location in Meridian to better support clients who live in Meridian, Star, Eagle, and Kuna by providing services like case management, crisis counseling, legal advocacy, and more in a more accessible space. Holly spearheaded efforts for this second location, opening in late 2023 or early 2024, to ensure Faces of Hope meets the growing needs of survivors.
Under Holly’s leadership, Faces of Hope provided support to its 6,000th client in May of this year. Her guidance allowed the organization to increase its budget from $250,000 to nearly $2 million. This financial growth allows Faces of Hope to provide services to 20 survivors a day.
Holly’s efforts made it possible for Faces of Hope to support survivors with a crisis counseling program in 2018, a legal program in 2020, and case management in 2021. During Holly’s tenure, Faces of Hope began funding the University of Idaho Family Justice Clinic, which allows law students to develop legal skills while providing free legal assistance to survivors of interpersonal violence.
“It has been a wonderful honor to serve as the Faces of Hope board president,” Holly said. “The Foundation has grown immensely to help every survivor who reaches out for help. With community support we expanded our staff and services so clients can be heard, feel respected, and move on in their lives. The all-volunteer Faces of Hope Board is strong and will continue efforts to ensure there is help, hope, and healing for those who need us the most.”

Opening the second Faces location gives survivors immediate access to care which empowers and grounds victims so they can work through trauma. There are no alternatives to this type of crisis care in the Treasure Valley. Our community is better because of Carolyn.”
