Faces of Courage
Each year we bring a courageous survivor to Boise to speak at our benefit luncheon to raise vital funding. See photos from the 3rd annual Faces of Courage benefit luncheon in 2024 with Drea Kelly on Facebook here.
This year, we're switching to an evening gala. Our courageous speaker is former NYPD detective and domestic violence survivor Katrina Brownlee. Katrina overcame unimaginable challenges after being shot 10 times by her abusive fiancé, a correction officer shielded by his badge. She defied the odds, relearned to walk, exited homelessness, and joined the NYPD to reform the system from within, retiring as one of its highest-ranking detectives. Faces of Courage benefit gala 2025 info here.
